Overview
Connecting your website or YouTube channel is the first step to using LassoCreators.
Once connected, Lasso can automatically apply higher commissions and show you higher-paying alternatives.
Why do I need to connect my content?
Without connecting, Lasso doesn't know which products you're recommending, so it can't help you earn more.
Lasso works by checking for the Amazon products you're already promoting.
On sites, this requires a JavaScript snippet so it can detect when clicks happen.
On YouTube channels, this requires an account authorization so it can add the lasso.to cloaking.
Both of those are the minimum requirements for Lasso to be able to apply the higher commissions and provide your analytics.
How to connect your content
Connecting only takes a few minutes.
To connect a website
Open the Connections page in LassoCreators.
Click Connect Website.
Enter your website URL.
Copy the JavaScript that appears.
Add this code snippet to your website, just before the closing
</body>tag.Back in Lasso, click I've added this code.
Then, click Check for JS Embed. Lasso will make sure it is successfully connected to your site.
If successful, that's it! You're all set.
If it says the JS wasn't detected, try re-adding the code or reach out to [email protected] for assistance.
To connect a YouTube channel
Open the Connections page in LassoCreators.
Click Connect YouTube.
Choose the email address associated with your YouTube account.
Confirm the access for Lasso.
If it denies access, reach out to [email protected] for assistance.
Note: Don't want to connect? Lasso's automations won't work without a connection, but you can still earn the rates you deserve! You can still find high-paying Amazon products in the Brand Deals Marketplace and add them to your content manually.
What happens after I connect?
After you're connected, the next steps depend on what you've connected:
Sites: Lasso will wait for your readers to click an Amazon link.
YouTube: Lasso will update your links so they show as lasso.to versions in your descriptions. This is a small redirect and doesn't change where the link goes. Then, Lasso will wait for your viewers to click an Amazon link.
Once your links get clicked:
If that product is in our network, you'll earn higher commissions automatically.
If that product isn't in our network, we'll check for similar alternatives and show them to you as Opportunities.
FAQs
Can I connect more than one website or channel?
Yes.
You can connect multiple websites and YouTube channels to a single Lasso Creators account.
What if I don't want to connect?
Lasso won't be able to work automatically for you.
But, you can still find high-paying Amazon products in the Brand Deals Marketplace and add them to your content manually.
Do I need to reconnect my content?
No.
Once connected, Lasso continues monitoring your content automatically.
As you publish new content or add new Amazon links, Lasso will discover them during future scans.
How do I make sure it's working?
Check your Home Dashboard to track all the clicks and sales for products in the Lasso network.
You can also check for Opportunities, which are similar to what you're promoting but paying way better.
Most users see updates in at least one place within the first week, but it depends on how many links and how many clicks you have.
