How Does Lasso's Billing Work?

The hub for all billing and account FAQs.

Written by Caitlin Ward

1. Can you have multiple sites on the same account?

Yes! Each site has its own subscription fee, but you can keep them in the same account with the same license key.

2. What happens when I add a site to my account?

When you add a site to your Lasso account, you'll get a prorated charge to add that site to your existing subscription. This consists of:

  • The full subscription fee for the new site, plus

  • The prorated amount to bring your original site(s) to the same billing date.

Example:

Let's say your normal billing date is on the 30th of each month, but you add a new site on July 15.

Your invoice will be for the full subscription fee for the new site, plus half of the time for the original site. Your original site was covered from July 1 - July 30, but now it's covered until August 15.

This puts both sites on the same billing date, and you then wouldn't be billed again until August 15. This streamlined billing cycle helps to consolidate future charges, making it easier to track and manage your subscriptions.

3. Does Lasso Charge for Subdomains and Subdirectories?

Subdomains? Yes.

Subdirectories? Nope.

Since subdomains are largely treated as their own sites, we treat them as their own sites for Lasso billing, too.

However, you can add as many subfolders as you'd like and still only pay for one overall domain!

4. Does Lasso Charge for Staging Sites?

Nope! You can get Lasso licenses for your staging sites for free, so long as the live site is part of a paid plan.

If you need to add a staging site, message us at [email protected] or via the chat bubble in the bottom right corner of any Lasso page. We'll help add them to your account for free. ✅
