What Are Exact-Match Opportunities?

Exact-match Opportunities are products that already exist on your site that are also included as a partner deal in our Marketplace.

Lasso AI automatically determines that the product, brand, and product specifications all match exactly. These are products you're promoting and are earning base Amazon commissions for, but you could promote them through the Brand Deals link to earn a larger commission.

How Do Automatic Exact-Match Opportunities Work?

Once you add a link to Lasso, it recognizes the ASIN. When that happens, the link is automatically eligible to receive higher commissions. You'll always earn the highest rate between your standard Amazon Associates link and the Lasso Brand Deals link.

This upgrade doesn't change the Primary Destination URL in Lasso and doesn't change the URL that's included in your text links and product displays within your posts.

Lasso will check our catalog every time the link is clicked, ensuring your getting up-to-date commission rates.

If the highest rate is through your normal Amazon Associates link, your audience goes to that link.
If the highest rate is through the Lasso Brand Deals, your audience goes to the same exact product page but with maas tracking, which is directly connected to your Lasso account.

Your readers will still see the same product link, but you’ll be earning more when they click and buy. All without changing a thing; it's free money!

How to Enable Auto-Upgrades for Exact-Match Opportunities

There are two options.

Option 1: Install the Lasso WordPress Plugin

🚀 This option works whether you're on a Free plan or a paid plan. All you need is a WordPress site.

If you haven't installed Lasso yet:

Free users can find steps to install Lasso Lite here.
Paid users can find steps to install Lasso Pro here.

2. Navigate to WordPress > Lasso > Settings > Amazon.

3. Ensure 'Auto-upgrade Eligible Links' is toggled on. It should be on by default.

4. Hit 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the Settings page.

That's it! The auto-upgrades will run in the background. You won’t have to make any additional changes. Just wait for your maximized commissions to roll in. 💸

Option 2: Use the Lasso JavaScript Snippet

🚀 Don't use WordPress? No problem! This option will work for any site that allows JavaScript snippets.

How do I get paid?

Can I use exact-match Opportunities even if I'm not part of Amazon Associates?

Yes! The commissions from Lasso's Brand Deals are separate from the Amazon Associates commission. You can use exact-match Opportunities to earn high commissions even if you're not part of Amazon Associates.

Will I still earn my Amazon commissions?

It depends, but Lasso will make sure you're earning the maximum possible.

You will receive your normal Amazon Associates commissions when Lasso doesn't have a higher-paying alternative.

If Lasso finds a higher commission for you, you'll earn the higher Lasso commission instead.

Amazon allows you to earn both types of commissions across your products and content; you just can't earn both of them on the same product at the same time.

Do I have to use automatic exact-match Opportunities?

No. The 'Auto-upgrade Eligible Links' toggle is on by default because it earns you more money. But, you can toggle it off at any point. Hit 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the Settings page once you toggle it off. Then, Lasso won't upgrade your exact-match Opportunities.
