Overview
The embed system works in two parts:
A global JavaScript snippet that enables embeds on your site
A unique HTML embed code that renders the specific display
Once both are added, the embed will automatically load and render wherever the HTML code is placed.
Step 1: Add the JavaScript Snippet to Your Site
First, you’ll need to add the JavaScript snippet to your website, just before the closing </body> tag. You can find this script in your Lasso account on the Embeds Installation page.
If you've already added the site to Lasso, click the
< >button to copy the script. If you haven't yet added the site, click the
Add Sitebutton to get your script.
Where to add this:
Just before the closing
</body>tagA theme settings panel (for platforms like WordPress, Webflow, or Squarespace)
A custom code or tracking script section
Step 2: Add Your Link
Next, go to your Lasso Links page and add your first link.
You can add literally any link. This can be:
An Amazon link from your SiteStripe.
A link from Lasso's Marketplace of Brand Deals.
An affiliate link from any brand or network.
A link for your own products or services.
Or even a non-affiliate or non-sales link.
Literally, any link!
Once you add your link, you can customize things like the title, description, badge, and overall appearance of the display.
Step 3: Copy the Embed HTML Code
Next, copy the embed HTML code provided in your Lasso Link Details page.
This code is specific to the display you want to show on your site.
Step 4: Paste the Embed HTML Code into Your Page
Paste the embed HTML code directly into your website editor where you want the display to appear.
Common placement options include:
Inside a blog post or article
On a landing page
Within a custom HTML or “Code” block
You can add the same embed code to multiple pages if needed.
For example, here's how it would look on WordPress:
Step 5: Review the Display
Once published, visit the page on your live site and confirm the embed appears correctly.
If everything is set up properly:
The embed will load automatically.
No additional configuration is required.
Updates to the embed will reflect automatically across all pages where it’s used.
Troubleshooting Tips
