Which Plugin Do You Need?
The Lasso Pro plugin is currently used for all paid Lasso subscriptions. If you're a paid subscriber, you're in the right place.
The Free plan uses Lasso Lite. You can find instructions for installing Lasso Lite right here.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Installing the Lasso Pro Plugin
1. Navigate to your Lasso Connections page: https://app.getlasso.co/connections.
2. Click the green Add Connection button.
3. Choose the WordPress Site option.
4. Click the Clipboard icon to copy your License Key. Click the Download button to get your Lasso plugin .zip file.
5. In WordPress, go to the Plugins page and click the Add New Plugin button at the top.
6. Then, click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the next page.
7. Click the Choose File button.
8. Choose your Lasso plugin and then click the Open button. The Lasso plugin will be a ZIP file and will start with lasso-rc.
🤔 Are you seeing just a plain folder called 'lasso' instead of the ZIP file? If so, do this:
Click the Cancel button instead of choosing a plugin file.
Navigate to your Downloads file on your computer.
Right-click on the 'lasso' file and choose Compress "lasso".
Then, repeat steps 6 and 7 to upload the compressed ZIP file to WordPress.
9. Your Lasso ZIP file will then show in the upload box. Click the Install Now button.
10. Then, click Activate Plugin.
✅ You'll know this worked if you see Plugin activated after clicking the Activate Plugin button.
11. Go to the Lasso plugin in the WordPress sidebar.
12. Add your license key from Step #4 and click the green Activate Lasso button. (You can find your license key again at https://app.getlasso.co/connections if needed).
That's it! You're now ready to use Lasso and will start customizing your default settings on the next screen. 🎉
Additional Steps for Multiple Sites
If this isn't the first site you're installing Lasso on, you'll need to complete these steps after doing the steps above:
1. Navigate to https://app.getlasso.co/connections.
2. Flip the License toggle from Free to Paid to activate Lasso on that site.
3. Return to Lasso on your WordPress site to start using the Pro plugin.
Get the Latest Updates
💡 Enabling auto-updates ensures you'll always have the latest Lasso features and improvements.
In the Plugins tab, click the Enable auto-updates button to ensure you're always running the most up-to-date version of Lasso.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Missing Download Button
Refresh your browser or clear the cache.
Try logging out of and back into your account.
Issues with License Activation
Ensure you are entering the correct license key.
Confirm you're entering the license key into the Lasso plugin (not Lasso Lite).
