Which Plugin Do You Need?
The Lasso Pro plugin is currently used for all Lasso Pro subscriptions. If you're a Pro subscriber, you're in the right place. 👍
The Startup and Free plans use Lasso Lite. You can find instructions for installing Lasso Lite right here.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Installing the Lasso Pro Plugin
1. Navigate to your Lasso sites page: http://app.getlasso.co/sites.
2. Click the green Download button to get the ZIP file for the plugin.
3. Copy your License Key because you'll need it later.
4. In WordPress, go to the Plugins page and click the Add New Plugin button at the top.
5. Then, click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the next page.
6. Click the Choose File button.
7. Choose your Lasso plugin and then click the Open button. The Lasso plugin will be a ZIP file and will start with lasso-rc.
🤔 Are you seeing just a plain folder called 'lasso' instead of the ZIP file? If so, do this:
Click the 'Cancel' button instead of choosing a plugin file.
Navigate to your Downloads file on your computer.
Right-click on the 'lasso' file and choose Compress "lasso".
Then, repeat steps 6 and 7 to upload the compressed ZIP file to WordPress.
8. Your Lasso ZIP file will then show in the upload box. Click the Install Now button.
9. Then, click Activate Plugin.
✅ You'll know this worked if you see 'Plugin activated' after clicking the Activate Plugin button.
10. Go to the Lasso plugin in the WordPress sidebar.
11. Add your license key from Step #3 and click the green Activate Lasso button. (You can find your license key again at http://app.getlasso.co/sites if needed).
That's it! You're now ready to use Lasso and will start customizing your default settings on the next screen. 🎉
Additional Steps for Multiple Sites
If this isn't the first site you're installing Lasso on, you'll need to:
1. Navigate to https://app.getlasso.co/sites.
2. Flip the WordPress toggle to the green 'on' position to activate Lasso on that site.
3. Return to Lasso on your WordPress site to start using the Pro plugin.
Get the Latest Updates
💡 Enabling auto-updates ensures you'll always have the latest Lasso features and improvements.
In the Plugins tab, click the 'Enable auto-updates' button to ensure you're always running the most up-to-date version of Lasso.
