What Is the International Redirects Report?

Understand how Lasso international redirects work, what the report shows, and how to connect tracking IDs to earn commissions from global traffic.

Written by Caitlin Ward

The International Redirects Report shows which countries your clicks are coming from and where you may be able to capture additional international commissions.

How Lasso International Redirects Work

Before we learn about the International report, we first must look at how Internationalization works. When someone clicks an Amazon link on your site, Lasso automatically:

  1. Detects the visitor’s country using their IP address

  2. Determines the correct Amazon storefront for that country

  3. Redirects the visitor to that storefront

  4. Applies your tracking ID for that country (if connected)

For example:

Visitor Location

Redirected To

United Kingdom

amazon.co.uk

Canada

amazon.ca

Australia

amazon.com.au

This works for all Lasso link types, including:

  • Product Displays

  • Text Links

  • lasso.to shortlinks

You only need to configure your Amazon tracking IDs in your Lasso settings for commissions to apply.

What This Report Measures

This report tracks every international redirect attempt triggered by Lasso.

The data includes:

  • Total clicks, not unique visitors.

  • Only non-US traffic.

Understanding the Graph

The graph at the top of the page shows total international clicks during the selected date range.

This represents the number of times Lasso tracked a click from a location other than the United States.

This is often traffic that would otherwise land on the wrong regional Amazon site, potentially missing commissions.

Understanding the Country Table

The table below the graph breaks down international redirect activity by country.

Each row shows:

Column Title

What it Means

Country

The visitor’s detected location

Tracking ID

The Amazon affiliate ID used for that storefront (if applicable)

Clicks

Total clicks from that country

You can click on a country or its click count to see which products generated those clicks. This will filter the report to show you which products received those clicks.

More on this can be found in the "Viewing Product-Level Details" section further down this page.

Tracking ID Status Explained

You may see these different statuses in the Tracking ID column: 👇

Connected Tracking ID

Example:

giftlabco-21

This means Lasso successfully applied your Amazon tracking ID when redirecting visitors from that country.

These clicks are eligible for affiliate commissions (so long as the shopper made the purchase).

Not Connected

If you see "Not Connected", this means Lasso detected visitors from that country, but you have not connected a tracking ID yet.

When this happens:

  • Visitors are still redirected to the correct Amazon storefront

  • The redirect occurs without an affiliate tag

This means you may be missing potential commissions.

To fix this:

  • Click Not Connected to add your tracking ID in your Amazon settings.

  • Once added, Lasso will automatically apply it to future clicks.

Not Supported

If you see "Not Supported", these countries do not currently have a supported Amazon storefront or affiliate program.

Lasso cannot apply a tracking ID for these regions or send them to a local storefront, so they will be redirected back to the original link with your original tracking ID.

Note: Even though these clicks are not redirected, they are still included in the report to show an overview of international traffic.

Viewing Product-Level Details

Clicking a country in the table filters the report and shows which products generated those international clicks.

You can confirm the country at the top of the report. Or, click the "Clear" button to remove the filter and see all of your international traffic again.

The table will update to display:

  • Product name: Click this to view the Amazon product page.

  • Destination storefront: Which storefront the link was redirected to.

  • Locations: How many times you use mention this product.

  • Click trend: How many clicks the product received, and whether it received more or less clicks than the previous period.

  • Detailed report link: Click to see insights about Location for this specific product.

This helps you understand which products are attracting international audiences.

TIP: Finding International Revenue Opportunities

One of the most valuable uses of this report is identifying countries where you may be missing commissions.

Look for countries that have both:

  • High click counts

  • A Not Connected status

For example:

Country

Clicks

Status

India

116

Not Connected

Poland

51

Not Connected

Tip: By adding tracking IDs for these countries, you can start capturing commissions from this traffic automatically.

Do I Need to Enable Anything for This Report?

No setup is required to view the report. It is automatic for any user will a Pro, Studio, or Enterprise subscription.

The report shows all international redirect clicks historically, even if you haven't connected tracking IDs yet.

However, to capture commissions, you should make sure your Amazon tracking IDs are connected.
