Reverting to a previous version of the Lasso plugin can be a helpful way to troubleshoot issues. This helps you:
See if reverting the plugin fixes the issue you're experiencing.
Keep using Lasso like normal while we work on a patch.
Step 1: Find Your Current Version Number
Before reverting, you'll need to know which version of Lasso you're currently using.
To find your current version:
In WordPress, go to Plugins.
Find Lasso.
Note the 3-digit version number in the description. (Ex: 338)
💡 NOTE: If you see a new version is available, try the update before reverting. The issue you're experiencing might have been fixed in the new version!
Step 2: Download the Previous Version
You can download the previous version from this link:
https://app.getlasso.co/fix/{your-version}
❗ Replace {your-version} with the version you want to go back to.
For example, if you're on v338, v337 would be the previous version. You'd use this link:
https://app.getlasso.co/fix/v337
💡 TIP: We recommend trying the previous version because it'll still give you the majority of the latest features and improvements. But, you can go back to any version you'd like!
Step 3: Install the Previous Version
In WordPress:
1. Go to Plugins, then choose Add Plugin.
2. Click the Upload Plugin button and then click Choose File.
3. Choose the lasso .zip file and the click Open.
4. Click Install Now.
5. WordPress will inform you that you already have Lasso installed. Choose Replace current with uploaded.
💡 NOTE: This won't remove or delete your existing Lasso links or displays because they are stored directly on your site. This process is very similar to updating to the latest version, only in reverse.
Step 4: Test It Out
Now that you have the older version of Lasso installed, check to see if the issue still occurs.
💡 TIP: If your issue involves how links and displays look on your posts, you may need to clear the CSS cache and then the page cache before you see a difference.
