Which Plugin Do You Need?
The Lasso Lite plugin is currently used for all Free subscriptions. If you don't pay for Lasso, you're in the right place. 👍
The paid plans use the Lasso Pro plugin. You can find instructions for installing Lasso Pro right here.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Installing the Lasso Lite Plugin
1. Navigate to your Lasso Websites page: https://app.getlasso.co/websites.
2. Click the green Connect Your Website button.
3. Enter the URL of your site.
4. Click the Download button to get the Lasso Lite .zip file.
5. On your WordPress site, go to the Plugins page and click the Add New Plugin button at the top.
6. Then, click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the next page.
7. Click the Choose File button.
8. Choose your Lasso Lite plugin and then click the Open button. (The plugin will be a ZIP file and will say lasso-lite.)
🤔 Are you seeing just a plain folder called 'simple-urls' instead of the ZIP file? If so, do this:
Click the Cancel button instead of choosing a plugin file.
Navigate to your Downloads file on your computer.
Right-click on the 'simple-urls' file and choose Compress "simple-urls".
Then, repeat steps 6 and 7 to upload the compressed ZIP file to WordPress.
9. Your Lasso Lite ZIP file will then show in the upload box. Click the Install Now button.
10. Then, click Activate Plugin.
✅ You'll know this worked if you see Plugin activated after clicking the Activate Plugin button.
11. Click on Lasso Lite in the WordPress sidebar.
12. Complete the setup steps to configure your Lasso Lite plugin.
That's it! You're now ready to use Lasso Lite and will finish setting up the plugin on the next screen. 🎉
What If You Have Multiple Sites?
The steps are exactly the same. 🤓 You can have as many free sites on your account as you'd like.
Follow the steps above for each WordPress site you'd like to use with Lasso Lite.
Get the Latest Updates
💡 Enabling auto-updates ensures you'll always have the latest Lasso features and improvements.
In the Plugins tab, click the Enable auto-updates button to ensure you're always running the most up-to-date version of Lasso Lite.
