You can uncloak any link in Lasso by toggling Link Cloaking off in any link details screen.*

Note: Lasso automatically uncloaks all Amazon links, so you're always compliant with their Terms of Service.

Uncloaking links in Lasso simply means that Lasso won't print or display the cloaked permalink on your site. However, the permalink will still work in case you say it out loud in some form of media or in person.

Cloaking links is great because it makes links more memorable and more clear to your readers.

The main reason for uncloaking a link is for external tracking when you may want to add your own tracking to work with your analytics platform.

Another reason is that the link doesn't need to be cloaked because it's already memorable and punchy. This is great for people who are linking to their own products or pages that have clean URLs.

For example, if you're linking to your own product on your own website with an existing URL of https://www.example.com/seo/, then you may not wanna cloak that link with something different.

Also, software like Viglinks and Skimlinks uses javascript to turn links to their merchants into affiliate links and we're not sure if it works with cloaked links.

But in that case, we recommend moving away from these tools. From our understanding that they take a cut of your revenue. Lasso doesn't take money away from you and is a complete replacement for Viglinks or Skimlinks!
