Learn how to use a different Amazon tracking ID in your Lasso WordPress plugin and your Lasso account.
This way, you can easily compare earnings between your site and your social media accounts.
Step 1: WordPress Tracking ID
š” Note: We'll go over the main steps below. For detailed information on Amazon tracking IDs and how to use them in the Lasso WordPress plugin, click here.
First, take the Amazon tracking ID you want to use just for your blog and add it to the WordPress plugin.
In your WordPress dashboard, go to Lasso > Settings > Amazon.
Add your site's Amazon tracking ID under Tracking ID for This Site.
That tracking ID will then be used for all the Amazon links on your site.
Step 2: Lasso Account Tracking ID
Next, you'll need to take the Amazon tracking ID you want to use for social media and add that to your Lasso account.
In your Lasso account, go to Settings > Amazon, or follow this link.
Add your social media's Amazon tracking ID under Your Default Tracking ID.
That tracking ID will then be used for all the Amazon links in your Lasso account. (You can find those links right here: app.getlasso.co/links.)
Do Links Sync Between the Account and WordPress?
By default, any links you create in your WordPress plugin will show up in your Lasso account. The links in the plugin will have your site's tracking ID, and the links in your account will have your social media ID.
Any links you create in your Lasso account will not show up in WordPress. But, you can re-add links to WordPress if you need to.
This keeps your IDs separate while reducing the amount of link you need to add in both places.
This way, you can add links and displays to your site and share links on social media either as text links or with Lasso Pages.
