Can I Use Lasso with Pinterest?

Yes. You can use Lasso with Pinterest to share product recommendations and earn affiliate commissions.

Overview

The best setup for using Lasso and Pinterest depends on whether you have your own website:

  • If you have a website, create a dedicated page for your Pinterest content and add your Lasso links to that page.

  • If you do not have a website, use a Lasso Page instead.

  • Pinterest Pins should link to the dedicated page or Lasso Page, not directly to a lasso.to link.

We'll explain how to do all of that below, but you can also learn more and follow along here:

How Lasso works with Pinterest

A typical Pinterest setup with Lasso looks like this:

  1. Create a dedicated page on your website, or create a Lasso Page.

  2. Add the products you want to recommend.

  3. Add the related Lasso links to the page.

  4. Create a Pinterest Pin for that topic.

  5. Link the Pin to your dedicated website page or Lasso Page.

For example, you could create a Pin called “My Favorite Kitchen Products” and link it to a page containing several kitchen products and their affiliate links.

This gives visitors one place to find all of the products related to the Pin.

Option 1: Use a dedicated page on your website

If you have a website, this is usually the most flexible option.

You could create pages such as:

  • “My Favorite Kitchen Products”

  • “Travel Essentials”

  • “Products I Use in My Home Office”

  • “Gift Ideas Under $50”

Then add your Lasso links to that page and link to it from your Pinterest Pins.

This option lets you use your existing website design, navigation, and content. It also gives you more control over the page visitors see after they click a Pin.

And if, you're using WordPress, you can use Lasso to create product displays or add images directly from Amazon.

Option 2: Use a Lasso Page

If you do not have a website, you can use a Lasso Page as your dedicated product page.

A Lasso Page lets you:

  • Add multiple products to one page.

  • Organize products by topic or collection.

  • Add product images and descriptions.

  • Give visitors one page to browse after clicking your Pin.

  • Update the product destinations later from Lasso.

It's very similar to creating a page on your website, but it's focused entirely on showcasing products.

Can I put a lasso.to link directly in a Pinterest Pin?

No. Pinterest does not allow lasso.to links to be used directly as the destination of a Pin.

Instead, use one of these options:

  • Link the Pin to a page on your website that contains your Lasso links.

  • Link the Pin to a Lasso Page.

  • Use the longer, uncloaked Amazon link as the destination when appropriate.

The dedicated-page or Lasso-Page setup is usually the better option when you want to feature several products in one Pin.

Can I use an Amazon link directly on Pinterest?

Yes. You can use a longer, uncloaked amazon.com link as the destination for a Pinterest Pin.

When the link came from the Lasso Marketplace, you can still earn the applicable higher Marketplace commission through that link.

However, an uncloaked Amazon link does not provide the same Lasso features as a lasso.to link. In particular:

  • Lasso cannot use its redirect to track the link in the same way.

  • You cannot use Lasso’s centralized link-swapping behavior for that direct link.

  • If the product destination changes, you may need to update the link wherever you shared it.

  • If the product becomes unavailable, you may need to manually replace the link.

For this reason, direct Amazon links can work for Pinterest, but they are less flexible to maintain over time.

Which setup should I use?

If you have a website

Create a dedicated page on your website and add your Lasso links there. Link your Pinterest Pins to that page.

This is the recommended setup if you want to use your own website design and create content around your product recommendations.

If you do not have a website

Create a Lasso Page and link your Pinterest Pins to it.

This gives you a dedicated product page without requiring you to build or maintain a separate website.

If you only want to share one product

You can use a direct Amazon link if that is the best fit for the Pin.

Keep in mind that direct Amazon links do not provide the same Lasso redirect, tracking, or centralized link-management features.

Can one Pinterest Pin feature multiple products?

Yes. Pinterest only allows one link on the Pin, but you can link to a page that shows multiple products.

Link the Pin to a dedicated page on your website or to a Lasso Page containing the products you want to feature as a workaround.

This is useful for:

  • Shopping guides

  • Product roundups

  • Gift guides

  • Room or outfit inspiration

  • Collections of related products

  • “Shop my favorites” content

Can I update the products later?

If your Pin links to a dedicated website page or Lasso Page, you can update the products on that page without changing the destination URL in the Pin.

For example, you could replace a product that is no longer available while keeping the same Pinterest Pin connected to the same page.

If the Pin uses a direct Amazon link, you may need to update the link manually if the destination changes.

What plan do I need?

You do not need a separate Pinterest integration or a set Lasso plan.

Unlimited links and the use of Pages are available in all Lasso plans.

Affiliate disclosures and Pinterest requirements

When sharing affiliate links, follow:

  • Pinterest’s current policies.

  • The disclosure requirements for the affiliate program connected to the product.

  • Any applicable advertising or consumer-protection rules in your country.

Lasso helps manage product links, but it does not replace the creator’s responsibility to provide any disclosures required for their content or affiliate relationships.
