Overview
After connecting Lasso to Claude, you'll be able to find and create links.
But, there are a few extra steps to be able to get those links onto a Deals post on your WordPress site.
We'll cover all of the steps below!
Note: The specific process we're covering is a Deals-type post. But, you can do a similar process for virtually any type of product, category, or post. If you're not sure how to go about it, email us at [email protected].
Part 1: Find deals and create links in Claude
Before you start
Skim tool permissions that Claude may ask to use.
Step 1: Tell Claude what you want
Start a chat and describe the post. These are details we recommend including:
Category (home and kitchen, tech, outdoors, etc.)
Retailer (e.g. Amazon only)
Your site domain
How many products
Example:
I'm building a Deals post for mysite.com. Find 5 current Amazon home and kitchen deals and add the links to my Lasso account.
If details are missing, Claude may ask. Often with tappable options! You can also tell it to ask you for more details if you'd like something specific but don't know exactly how to say it.
Step 2: Claude finds live deals
Claude searches the web for deals. Lasso isn’t involved yet.
Tips:
Point Claude at a source you trust. (Ex: Amazon Deals page.)
Be specific (“KitchenAid deals over 30% off” beats “kitchen deals”).
Ask for another category or brand if the first results aren't right.
Step 3: Pick your products
Choose some, all, or ask for more. If you don't like the results, the more feedback you give to Claude, the better it will be able to give you what you want.
Confirm prices yourself before you publish. Deal prices change quickly (especially during events like Prime Day).
Step 4: Claude finds the exact product pages
Claude may list product titles for you first. If so and you approve the results, Claude will then find the exact Amazon URL for the products you want.
It uses clean Amazon product URLs so Lasso can help you attach your tracking ID in the next steps.
Step 5: Choose the site
If you have more than one site and haven't specified it yet, Claude asks which one to use.
Step 6: Approve the preview
Claude previews each link first, including what would be saved, and whether a Lasso Brand Deal would apply.
You’ll see permission prompts for the Create link tool. This will allow Claude to create the link in your Lasso account.
Step 7: Claude saves the links
When previews look right, Claude saves each link and returns a link ID for each one.
Step 8: Check the results
Open your Lasso account and confirm the links look right.
You can go to https://app.getlasso.co/links/{Link-ID} to see the results. Or, tell that to Claude and ask it to give you the clickable URLws that will open the new links in your Lasso account.
Part 2: Put the links on your Deals post
Step 1: For Non-WordPress Users
If you don't use WordPress and instead use Lasso with Wix, Squarespace, etc, you're all set!
You can now add links and displays like normal.
For anyone using Lasso Lite or the premium Lasso plugin: 👇
Step 2: Wait for Link Sync
With Sync Links with Plugin enabled, links will sync from your Lasso account to WordPress roughly hourly.
Tip: Confirm sync is on at app.getlasso.co/links?platforms=wordpress.
If links show in your account but not in WordPress after a a few hours, check your Lasso plugin Settings to see the Performance option. If that is Light or Balanced, consider changing it to Power to allow Lasso to update faster.
Step 3: Add displays to the post
Option A: Group + Grid or List (recommended for roundups)
Best for several deals together using just one Lasso shortcode.
Create a group in your Lasso plugin dashboard and add the new links.
In the post, add a Lasso block and choose that group’s Grid (or List / Gallery).
Note: This requires the paid version of Lasso, not Lasso Lite.
Option B: Single Displays
One display per link. Best when each deal sits in its own spot in the copy.
Open the Deals post.
Add a Lasso block.
Insert a Single Display for each link you want.
Step 4: Finish and publish
Add your intro and deal notes, confirm prices, preview desktop and mobile, then publish.
Keeping deals current
When a deal ends, update or remove that display (or swap the link out of the group). Or start a new Claude chat for replacements and repeat Part 1 → sync → update the post.
